LATEST NEWS FROM THE STROKES


well, it's been a while since there has been "official Strokes activity", 4 years now to be exact!

we're pleased to announce that the band is officially back in the recording studio with producer Joe Chiccarelli making what will be The Strokes fourth studio album.

we've decided to do something we haven't done in the past and bring a small video camera into the studio with us to shoot some footage of the band at work. what you'll find here is more behind-the-scenes stuff, can't give away too much music yet, that would spoil the surprise! all of it is shot by the band, or myself, and edited in-house here on my little computer. so, it's a very D.I.Y. project, we prefer it that way, and it keeps the recording sessions much more focused and without the distraction of a big camera crew in there whilst the boys are hard at work

Part 1 should be live on our website now, or you can follow this link to check it out on youtube.

since it's the first installment, running at about 9 minutes long, it's a little longer than the other ones will be. hopefully we'll be adding a few more parts for you to check out as the recording progresses, but you should expect those to only be a few minutes each. hope you enjoy checking those out!

They'll be headlining the following festivals, so grab your tickets while you can if you live in UK or Germany or will be traveling there over the summer and want to catch the first Strokes' shows of the year :

i wish i could give you a release date on the album, but it's changed so many times, best to just wait and see after we've wrapped up all the recording and have a good plan on the best timing.... so... let's just say 2010 for now!
